I have taken so many pictures of this antique piece because the detail and work that has been poured into this is breathtaking. The tapestry panels look to be aubusson and the thick crochet lace and fine handworked lace are equally beautiful. Nineteenth century fine craftswomanship.
The last two images show a mark in the centre panel (which I have not tried to remove) and an area of missing crochet work.
I have never seen one like this before and couldn’t resist. size: 178 cms (70 inches) by 155 cms (61 inches)
